Hello,
I didn't know where to post this, so I'm posting this in the healing forum because humor is healing.
This morning mom and I had to go out to buy peanuts for the squirrels. The squirrels get real grumpy when they don't have their peanuts. Plus, mom and I decided to do a some grocery shopping while we were at the store too.
We went to Winco and got our groceries, and the peanuts, because that's where we buy them at. Well, we finished and were heading out the door and on our way to the car. There was an older couple, probably in their late 60s early 70s that were right behind us and basically followed us in the direction of our car. Except they got to their car before we did.
It was wet, rainy and wendy. And the parking lot is on a bit of a slope so you really have to hold onto your buggy otherwise it will get away from you and keep going without you.
Well, mom and I were at our car and just got the trunk open, when I heard someone coming with a buggy. I looked but no one was pushing the buggy. I told mom to grab the buggy, because she was right there, but by the time she reacted it was to late. That buggy picked up so much speed that there was no way anyone could grab it unless you were infront of it.
Mom did try to catch up to it, but it was going to fast and kept picking up speed. I couldn't do anything, because we had a buggy full of bags to put in the car, and mom was off trying to catch up to the buggy and get it.
All, I could do was try to keep an eye on her, the buggy, and then trying to hurry up and put the bags in the trunk. I couldn't let go of our buggy because the wind would have taken our buggy across the parking lot too. So, it was a bit of a struggle with holding onto the buggy and putting the bags in the car.
While mom was still going after the buggy, which the wind had pushed the buggy clear across the parking lot and the only reason it stopped was because it hit the curb.
I looked back to who the buggy belonged to, which I was just in the knick of time to hear the wife ask her husband "Where did the buggy go?" And I hollered up to them, which we were about 4 parking spots from them, and told them their buggy is way down there, while pointing to my mom, who finally just got to the buggy.
The wife couldn't stop laughing, her husband was laughing too but he was trying to figure out how it got way at the other end of the parking lot in that short amount of time. Plus we were waiting for mom to just bring it back, but she couldn't get it to move. When it hit the curb it damaged the wheels or something, but the buggy would not move.
So, while he went down to help mom with the buggy, I continued to put the bags in the car. And then I noticed he was having trouble getting the buggy to move, so after I got the buggy unloaded, I took it down to where mom and he was so he could use our buggy.
I helped him put his bags in our buggy and then he dragged his buggy over to the thingy that buggies go into, and then I pushed our buggy back to his car where his wife was in tears from laughing so hard.
We were all laughing big time over that, because how many times does that happen?
Christ Love,
